Greg's new friend! Mount Everett is the highest peak in the southern Berkshires, partly in Mt. Washington and Sheffield with a summit elevation of 2,624 feet 2nd highest in the state. It is part of the Mount Everett State Reservation, in the warm month's the road is open with parking at the junction of Guilder Pond and the Appalachian Trail. A tragic accident in Everett, Massachusetts, left two workers dead after a large crane collapsed along the city’s waterfront. The incident happened on Rover Street, near the Encore Boston Harbor casino, when the crane reportedly fell onto a dock and barge.
