Relearning tunes after a long illness. I’m surprised at how motor memory works, at least in my case. My memory seems to be in my fingers. They wander initially. They are almost but not quite lost and then they find a landmark which leads to another one, eventually the tune emerges as a clearing in the woods and there is this feeling of synchronicity which my body experiences.
